In our efforts to keep the medicine strong at Little Big Medicine Sundance we prefer the women folk who are experiencing menstrual cycles to be at appropriate distances from the arbor and sweat lodge areas. This year at Little Big Medicine there will be a new Moon Camp for the ladies. The Moon Camp will offer the women a place to camp to stay at should the cycle arrive within Little Big Medicine Sundance time.

       Any woman who chooses to stay and support is welcomed to do so and offered a camping spot. We appreciate your presence at Little Big Medicine. The Moon Camp Will be provided with essentials. We will try to accommodate any reasonable needs. Any woman utilizing the Moon Camp will not be allowed to leave the camp but will be allowed visitors. A cleansing will be required of visitors to this camp. As the energy will be beautiful yet high and depleting especially to the dancers and those working closely with the arbor and lodge areas.

      The Moon Camp will be provided with:

  * walks and sunrise runs and evening runs

  * Massage therapy if necessary or by appt.

  * laundry and shower runs

  * Meals will be provided by the Little Big Medicine Community Kitchen

    Snacks upon availability

  * Counseling

  * Reserved Area to support the ceremony

  * Help with the moving of camp to the Moon Camp and Cleansing of the previous camp 

     site

 

  We would like to set these women up with a nice camp for their patience and endurance to Honor the Medicine Ways. Since the Camp is in it's early stages of development, we will appreciate your patience as we hope to achieve a Moon Camp provided with sweat lodge and other types of accommodations for those willing to remain within short distance of Families and the Ceremony. As always your suggestions and donations are always welcomed.
